The Storytelling Guild Presents Their 43rd Annual Children’s Festival at The Britt Grounds in Jacksonville – July 12-14, 2009
Calling all kids, ages 1 to 100! You won’t want to miss the 43rd Annual Children’s Festival because this year it will be “Powered by Your Imagination!” Sponsored by the Storytelling Guild of Jackson County, this innovative 3 day event will take place July 12-14th at the Britt Festival Grounds in Jacksonville and will bring out the creativity of both the young and young at heart as it has for generations.
This year, especially, families may prefer to plan a “staycation” that will be more economical than a costly vacation far from home. As always, for a nominal entry fee of $2.00, the Children’s Festival will offer hours of entertainment with many imagination themed activities, and allow children and their parents to participate in over 30 hands on art, craft and science projects. Older children will enjoy candle making, pottery and wood working, while younger children will have a chance to make their own puppets, sand and easel art, and have their faces painted. The whole family can also look forward to child-focused stage performances and yummy food from our Dragon Deli.
The festival runs a total of 4 general sessions over a 3 day period:
Sunday July 12th – Session #1: 5:30-8:30pm
Monday July 13th – Session #2: 9am until noon Session #3: 6:00-8:30pm
Tuesday July 14th – Session #4: 9am until noon
